Working on a new board that integrates three coupled oscillators. From my performance practice and work with the bi-core circuit, I realized that I often have an oscillator that controls a motor for hitting on a rubber band or other sonified objects, another oscillator that modulates the activation of the first plus a third oscillator signal providing a reference beat. I hope integrating these three oscillators into a single board opens up a playground interesting enough for other people to discover the fun of playing with emergent and not prep-programmed rhythms.
Over the years I have developed an idiosyncratic approach in building networks of bicore oscillators, for example for creating a 3×4 polyrhythm with breaks I use a network of five coupled bicore oscillators. Currently, each oscillator is a printed circuit board on its own. So that in order to get to a point where interesting patterns appear you need to build at least 5 boards.
